Connection is all I seek
A chance to be close to others and feel safe to bare my soul
Why do some call this weakness or choose to exploit it
Can you not see that I am human just like you
Why does the exploitation of my trust give you such pleasure
Is it the power
Why do some crave power over others
I myself appreciate control but have found myself most at ease and truly happy when control is relinquished
Does that make me naive
Does that make me stupid
No, my feelings are valid
And I will keep telling myself that as I come across other pure souls like you and me 🤍
